Privacy Policy

• Account information — name, email, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Dietary & health preferences — diet style, allergies, religious practices, fitness goals, body metrics (weight, height, age, sex), calorie/macro targets, and health considerations such as diabetes-, sodium-, or digestion-related preferences. This may include health-related information, which we treat as sensitive.
• App content you create — meal plans, recipes, event menus, nutrition logs, pantry items, ratings, and progress entries.
• Usage data — feature usage, AI-generation counts, and page views, used to operate and improve the service.
• Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we retain only billing status and processor identifiers.

• To generate personalized meal plans, nutrition targets, grocery lists, and event menus.
• To operate your account, process payments, and provide support.
• To send transactional messages (e.g. password resets, terms updates, account notices).
• To monitor, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

To create meal plans, recipes, nutrition estimates, and similar features, relevant inputs (such as your dietary preferences and meal selections) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate your results. We do not send your name, email, or payment details for this purpose.

• Anthropic — AI meal/nutrition generation.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Email provider — delivery of transactional email.
• Hosting & database providers — to run the service.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law.

If your account was created or is managed by a health or fitness professional, that professional can view and manage the preferences, plans, and progress associated with your account. Contact your professional with questions about how they use your information.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and associated content; limited records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

• Access & export your data — download a copy anytime from Account → Privacy & Data.
• Correct your information — edit it in your preferences and account settings.
• Delete your account and data — self-serve from Account → Privacy & Data; this also cancels any active subscription.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.

We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit what we collect.

Forkdoppler is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email, and the effective date above will be updated.
